Expertise
As a specialist lawyer for copyright and media law, I advise and represent in the field of IP, IT and media in the areas of tension between the press, media and entertainment, innovation, technology and competition. One of my main areas of practice is litigation and dispute resolution, as well as strategic advice and compliance issues.
In my many years of working in the emergency rescue service, I have learned to decide and act quickly; there is no room there for procrastinators. This quality also characterises my legal advice. Especially in the press sector, action must be taken quickly to prevent massive damage. Fifteen years of litigation experience in highly specialised and jurisdiction-ridden press law have taught me flexibility, speed and the necessary toughness. With this experience, I support companies, public bodies, publishing houses, media platforms and individuals in cases of press and media publications or infringements of personality rights, in crisis management or press compliance.
Another focus of my work is the enforcement of artists’ rights, especially in the field of film and photography, often in an international context. I also assist companies and authors from the publishing, film and music sectors from the creation of works to the licensing and exploitation of their works.
