Bernhard von Sonnleithner advises German and international companies on data protection law, digitalisation and IT law. His main areas of advice include complex data protection law issues, particularly at the interface with information technology and in connection with data-driven business models (especially Big Data, Machine Learning and AI).

In addition, Bernhard von Sonnleithner advises companies on the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation, on corporate data protection and on the structuring of international data transfers.

Bernhard von Sonnleithner also specialises in drafting and negotiating IT contracts (IT outsourcing, software licences, SaaS, cloud computing, EULAs, hosting, data centres, maintenance of software) as well as advising online platforms and in the area of e-commerce.
